ARISTI

Aristi is one of the 45 picturesque villages of Zagori, built amphitheatrically at an altitude of 650 meters. It is believed that the settlement was created or demographically enriched with residents of nearby abandoned villages. During the 19th century there was a strong wave of migration from Aristi towards Serbia. Aristi is one of the first villages of Zagori acquired with school. The schools were contributed financially from the neighboring Monastery of Speleotissa.

Zissis hotel is, thanks to its location in the village of Arísti, the ideal base to visit the many natural, cultural, religious and architectural monuments and sights of Zagori. Some of the major attractions to visit are the famous Vikos Gorge, numerous elaborate bridges of the region such as Kokkoris Bridge, Plakidas or Kalogeriko Bridge and the Kleidonia Bridge, the amazing Vradeto Steps, the beatiful Papingo Pools, the Gyftokampos area and open-air Sarakatsani Museum, the famous Lake Drakolimni (the Dragon Lake) and some of the unique monasteries of the region, such as the Monastery of Panagia Speleotissa, the Evangelistria Monastery of Ano Pedina or the Agia Paraskevi Convent in Monodentri.
